- The motif on the reverse, by Canadian artist Andy Everson, features the theme of water. At the center of the motif is a killer whale, stylized by the artist in the traditional art of his K'ómoks and Kwakwaka'wakws ancestors. The creature is encircled by the moon's halo, itself surrounded by stylized wavelets, representing the mammal's habitat where tides and waves are subject to the moon's forces.
