- Obverse
- In the center of the coin is symbolically represented the Seine, and allows to cut the coin in two, the inscription "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE" is readable. The Hotel des Invalides is represented in the upper part of the coin. In the lower part of the coin is represented the Grand Palais.
- Reverse
- On the right part of the coin a map of Paris with the location of the Invalides and the Grand Palais. On the left part, the logo of Unesco, the face value "5 EURO" and the year.
