Gadhaiya Paisa - Battle Series from Gadhaiya. Issued from 1218 to 1239. Struck in Billon. Measures 14.9 mm and weighs 4.17 g.

Stylized Indo-Sassanian bust of king to right, Devanagari letter "Ja" behind bust in place of regular gadhaiya ear behind bust note: this is the only known Battle variant out of the 33 listed with "Ja" & the only one in Group 2 the ID Code for this variant is: T 6B/ 10; Rev: Type 6B, Obv: Eye & Nose Type 10

Scene of battle field - Trotting Horse with soldier astride, brandishing a sword & a bow is depicted behind the soldier: in front of the Soldier (top right) there's a Circle note: in all variants in the series there's a Circle shown in front (top right) of the soldier, Maheshwari has described it as a Shield; with a recent discovery of a set of Battle coins including 1 inscribed in name of Devapala, this description may change to Sun (day time) instead of Shield as there's 1 coin showing a Star (night time) pls refer Link below for Devapala coin page
