- Reverse
- Designed by Canadian artist Greg Banning, your coin features an outdoorsman and his dog floating in their canoe on a still, reflective lake in Quebec's Laurentian Mountains. The canoe crosses the image near the top, pointing toward the left side of the coin. The outdoorsman's head is turned toward a nearby rocky shore in the background, while the husky's attention is fixed on the reflection, in thestill lake, of a bald eagle soaring in the sky above. The images reflected in the lake reveal more about the scene. The design also showcases a mixed evergreen and deciduous forest, characteristic of thispart of Canada, rising above the water. On the shore, a three-gabled habitant-style house overlooks the water. The image is framed by an outer band engraved with maple leaves.
