Obverse

The circumference of the coin is framed with national ornaments. In the center is the State Emblem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, around the coat of arms is the inscription QAZAQSTAN RESPÝBLIKASY. Reverse

Against the background of a starry sky with a crescent, Korkyt ata is depicted playing the kobyz. Below is the inscription Korkyt ata and the year of issue of the coin. In the upper left part is the logo of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
