Aegestes, the city's founder, as hunter, standing right with left foot upon rock, right hand resting on hip, left elbow on knee; he wears a pilos suspended behind the neck, sword hanging from strap around left shoulder, ankle-boots (cothurni) and chlamys over left arm; two javelins in left hand. At his feet, two hounds right and in right field, ithyphallic herm left, wearing petasus.
Reverse
Head of the nymph Segesta right, wearing earring and necklace, hair caught in amphyx and sphendone. Behind head, ear of barley.
