- Obverse
- Aegestes, the city's founder, as hunter, standing right with left foot upon rock, right hand resting on hip, left elbow on knee; he wears a pilos suspended behind the neck, sword hanging from strap around left shoulder, ankle-boots (cothurni) and chlamys over left arm; two javelins in left hand. At his feet, two hounds right and in right field, ithyphallic herm left, wearing petasus.
- Reverse
- Head of the nymph Segesta right, wearing earring and necklace, hair caught in amphyx and sphendone. Behind head, ear of barley.
