Description

2 Euro from Federal Republic of Germany. Issued in 2024. Struck in Bimetallic: nickel brass clad nickel centre in copper-nickel ring (Core: 75% Cu, 20% Zn, 5% Ni Ring: 75% Cu, 25% Ni). Measures 25.75 mm and weighs 8.5 g.

Obverse
In the foreground, a perspective representation of the Paulskirche memorial site, behind it the paper constitutional document and quill. In the back three female allegories of unity, justice and freedom and the tricolor of black, red and gold.
Reverse
Large inscription of the value superimposed over the map of Western Europe. Twelve stars on the right side of the outer ring, with six stars atop the map and six stars below the map with six vertical stripes cutting across the inner core of the coin connecting the upper and lower star segments.
Edge
Germany's national motto and the beginning of Germany's national anthem, followed by the Federal Eagle (Unity and Justice and Freedom)
