Obverse

In the foreground, coat of arms of the Air Force, surmounted by the turreted eagle, symbol of military pilots, which contains the badges of four squadrons which, in the 1st World War, stood out for their skill, courage and heroism, bordered in low from the scroll with the motto “Virtute Siderum Tenus”. At the top, in the circle, the writing "REPUBBLICA ITALIANA".

Reverse

Depiction of the Centenary of the Air Force logo “1923-2023”, respectively, year of its establishment and year of issue of the coin. In the left field, the writing “EURO”; above, “CINQUE”; following, “R”, identifier of the Mint of Rome; on the right “VdS”, initials of the author Valerio De Seta; in the exergue, in an arch, the writing “AERONAUTICA MILITARE”. Coin with colorful elements.
