Obverse

Two pilot profiles symbolizing different eras and types of use - civil and military. Numerous aircraft are depicted in the sky, also marking different eras and uses, a tribute to the history of the airplane. The face value is inscribed on the bottom left of the reverse, along with the "RF" symbol.

Reverse

(fr) Cette pièce présente une vue de l’avion Spirit of St Louis volant au-dessus de Paris. Au loin, on découvre la Statue de la Liberté, point de départ de la grande traversée qui a eu lieu le 20 Mai 1927 au départ de New York et jusqu’à Paris (arrivée le 21 Mai 1927).
